The Apex NP-600 Rangefinder is specifically designed for disc golf, utilizing a 905-nanometer class 1 laser to measure distances between the rangefinder and a target. This tool is ideal for calculating the distance to a disc golf basket or any target on the fairway and is also helpful for course design, providing precise measurements in yards, feet, or meters. It’s rechargeable and comes with a charging cable.
The Apex NP-600 Rangefinder offers multiple modes for accurate readings:
- Slope Distance: The default mode, measuring the distance between the rangefinder and an object.
- Vertical Distance: Measures distance, elevation change, and angle.
- Horizontal Distance: Continual slope distance, angle, and horizontal distance.
- Speed Measurement: Measures the speed of an object moving toward or away from the rangefinder.
- Height Measurement: Measures the height difference between two objects.
- Closest and Farthest: Identifies and displays the closest or farthest object in a group.
- Distance Compensation: Adjusts the recommended throwing distance based on slope (e.g., an uphill throw may suggest a longer distance).
- Storage: Stores the last 20 readings for review.
