To make the Freetail even more sturdy, MINT Discs created the Longhorn. The Longhorn will fly down the fairway after a flip-up to flat. Then, it will begin its trusted fade.

Freetail is the latest release from Mint Discs, and they’re back with a free boom! Understable and simple to use, this disc is a great control driver for any level of player. When thrown flat, it provides an excellent anhyzer flight and a lot of glides.

With this disc, you may throw it hard and flat and see it land on the ground and stand up for a stunning roller angle. High-velocity turns that gain a lot of glides and keep their angle are also ideal for this board.

Like the Alpha, the Freetail is a driver that prefers to be controlled rather than commanded. It’s a simple flat spin or a buttery hyzer for the finest flip-up line you’ve ever had, so go ahead and give it a try! Mint Discs provides the ideal flippy hybrid driver for you if you’re looking for a new one.

Pros

  • Feels great in your hand
  • Shapes nice lines with very little effort to hit the target
  • Showcase flip-up, turn over and fade back at the end of the flight
  • Understable distance driver with tons of glide

Cons

  • May face concerns or issues with the floppiness of the disc.

The Mint Discs Alpha fairway driver is versatile, and throwers may use it in several circumstances. Designed to go straight and fade reliably, Alpha is a high-performance fairway driver. This disc is stable enough but not very overstable that novice disc golfers can’t throw it to battle the wind.

In every golfer’s bag, the Alpha is a necessary fairway wood. With a straight flight and consistent fade, the Alpha has the design of a Power Fairway that responds to your line and power. The Alpha is a steady disc favored by most players for its ability to take on headwinds. Also, it can carve through the woods.

All your hopes will be met and then some with the Alpha’s new color schemes and flatter domes. Thanks to Sublime Plastic’s stunning designs, this disc is a winner for both throwers and collectors.

Pros

  • Gives a great feel to the hands
  • Continue straight for a long flight before consistently fading at the end
  • Can handle additional power or torque without flipping over
  • Great for holes that either call for ground play or natural hyzer flight

Cons

  • Domey, which makes it a bit uncomfortable in the hand of others
  • Requires enough experience before using

Review

Mint Discs continues to release new molds, the most recent of which is the Jackalope. This fairway driver has a great feel, and while it does have some turns, it isn’t overly understable.

You can use it for hyzer flips, turnovers, and effortless distance on long shots when playing with a tailwind. It has a very pleasant feeling in hand, and both professionals and amateurs can use it with equal success.

It’s a simple thrower that practically every player of any skill level will find useful. The slightly understable flight characteristics make it the perfect line shaper in the woods, and it can cover significant distance when flying with a tailwind.

If you have a long arm, the Jackalope is an excellent choice for rollers because it maintains a clean straight line for a long period.

Pros

  • Great for navigating those tight fairways
  • Can throw flat with a dependable turn amidst of the flight
  • Can throw on a slight hyzer and will flip
  • Flies straight
  • Applicable for all levels of players

Cons

  • It will always fade out.

In the Mint lineup, the Mustang is a great feeling, speedy mid-range. It has a beadless rim with a smooth but aggressive design for precise distance management. In the mold, players of all ability levels can toss a disc.

Additionally, Mustang is a disc that holds any line you choose and flies straight when thrown flat. When it comes to midrange, you’ll find yourself reaching for the Mint Discs Mustang over and over again.

Eternal and Sublime plastic versions of these discs are both eye-catching and comfortable. Between these two plastics, you’ll be able to find the right balance. Pick up a stunning Mustang today so that you can once again imagine yourself galloping to the finish line.

Mint Discs has just published their second CD, Bobcat, following the hugely successful Alpha. Bobcat is designed to fly straight and stable flyers, and it is a very flat mid-range.

You can choose from three different polymers for the beadless feel of the handle. Fans of Mint plastic will be delighted to have a new moderate option. If you’re looking for a disc that can take on various shot forms, this disc is ideal for you.

Furthermore, this disc and plastic have a great feel to them. After the Alpha, Mint gained a cult-like following; therefore, this disc is guaranteed to remain a regular in many people’s bags. Take it for a shot and see for yourself how it performs. Using the Bobcat in tandem with the Alpha is a wonderful way to get a similar flight path but at a lower altitude.

Pros

  • Flat top and beadless bottom
  • Short-range accurate approach disc for players with average arms
  • Overstable mid but not a utility mid
  • Nice soft fade at the end

Cons

  • Power players may overthrow this disc
  • Flex out of anything with least anhyzer than a roller

There is no doubt that the Mint Discs molds are some of the best out there. In line with this, the Bullet is one of their best golf discs up to date. It’s a beadless putter with a low profile.

Holding the Bullet is a pleasure, and it flies straight and accurately. In terms of flatness, it looks that the first batch of them is very flat, and it fits snugly in hand. Bullets disc is currently available in three distinct types of plastic: Royal, Royal Soft, and now Eternal, all made of polyethylene.

Both the Royal plastics and the Eternal plastics have sticky baselines. They are a disc that will help you feel more confident in the circle and have a lot of promise off the tee. Royal plastic is the professional-grade plastic used by Mint.

The advantage of using this plastic over Sublime, Apex, or Eternal is that it has a greater grip in all situations, unlike the other three. The sticky texture is distinct in that it is both soft and strong. Royal plastic is also a good choice if you want your garment to “season” or wear quickly. Typically, when this sort of plastic wears in and loses its high-speed stability, it will fly straighter and more consistently.

Pros

  • Comes out of the hands easy
  • Hold any line well
  • Lands gently
  • Show straighter flight path
  • Holds all  your power without turning over

Cons

  • Fade a bit at the end of the flight
  • May overthrow by the powerful players

The Profit is the Mint’s third disc and first putt and approach disc. Also, the Profit is Mint Discs’ much-anticipated first-ever putter release. This great putt and approach disc has a flight path that is just over steady, and it will finish with a hint of predictable fade at the end.

Profit has a flat top and a beaded bottom, which provides additional stability. While they are reluctant to label it as the “next Alpha,” it is reasonable to state that this is the putter that comes close to being the best in the market. Throwers may use it for various shots, such as a slightly overstable putter or a driving disc that is simple to the range.  Make a few money putts with the Profit, and you’ll be laughing at your cash account.

Moreover, Profit’s plastic provides a solid basis, with a touch of softness, and is fairly rigid. If you look at the bead, you’ll notice that it’s rounded at the shoulders, but it then takes a roughly 45-degree slant to the bead (a medium-sized bead). If you had to pick a side, you’d say it’s thin compared to the majority of other putters on the market.

Pros

  • Feels great in the hand
  • Nice off of the tee box
  • Holds great lines
  • Very easy to throw
  • An excellent disc for the beginners

Cons

  • Adjustment for powerful throwers is needed.

What Are The Characteristics Of A Disc Golf Putter?

Putters differ from drivers and midrange discs in speed and shape.

Most putters are going to be given a high-speed rating from 3 to 1. Which makes sense because putters are designed for throwing slow controlled shots near the basket.

Putters also tend to have a blunt edge along the rim. When stacked up against midrange discs and drivers, putters tend to have a rounder edge and have more plastic need the center of the disc and less around the edge.

What Makes A Great Disc Golf Putter?

When looking for a great putter, you’ll want to consider a number of things. Does this putter feel good in your hands? Does it have a comfortable grip? These are obviously based on personal opinion and will be different for all players.

The main thing that separates great putters from the pack is a trustworthy, consistent flight path. You’ll want a putter that gives you that straight path over and over to ensure success on the putting green.

Finally, you want a putter you can grip well and won’t slip. This doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the mold of the disc but more to do with the plastic.

So when looking for a good putter you will be using for putting, get a plastic type you can grip well and won’t slip out of your hand.

What Types Of Shots Can You Use A Putter For?

As I have mentioned before, putters are mainly designed for putting. If you have a disc you love and can trust when facing down the basket, get that putter. Better yet, get multiples.

But you can do more with putters than just putting. They also work great for approaching the basket. They are less likely to skip and tend to sit and stay after landing.

You can even drive with them. Check out my recommendations for great driving putters here!

Final Thoughts

Picking a putter is an important task. Using the right putter can be the difference between an okay round and a course record.

I hope you’ll consider my recommendations for great putters when making your decision on which go-to putter you’ll select.

You can trust any putter listed here but which putter you chose is a personal decision each disc golf will have to make.

The Gator3 by Innova is characterized by a low profile and a flat top. Innova’s new standard for an overstable midrange is this disc. The Gator3 doesn’t even notice the wind on its journey to the hoop. You’ll feel that the plastic used to create this awesome disc is highly grippy and sturdy.

This disc will most likely be difficult for beginners to grasp, but it’ll fade away quickly. Beginners will find it more bearable if they spend enough time throwing it and perfecting their form.

The Innova Mako3 is the latest edition and low-profile version of the incredible and straight-flying Innova Mako. While it has putter flight characteristics, it also has the glide and speed of a midrange disc. If you want a disc with a straight flight and very little fade, the Mako3 could be it.

It is a great disc for beginners since it has one of the straightest flights in the midrange game. You’ll impress anyone on the course as it will make you appear like an expert when you throw it. Its glide, enhanced distance, easy-grip, clean, and consistent release will appeal to you.

Also, the disc is simple to control. Because it is highly responsive, this can be your go-to disc if you’re on a course that requires technical shots.

The Warship is a flexible midrange disc that’s straight-flying and has a very long range. It also features a little high-speed turn followed by a small, low-speed fade when thrown with power. Westside uses high-tech material that is extremely robust and with superb performance when creating the Warshop disc. The disc retains its flight characteristics and dependability for an extended period.

Westside’s Warship is very user-friendly and can be used by any disc golfer. It’s very controlled at faster arm speeds. But lower arm speeds will maintain a straight line, and it’s not suitable for newbies with lower arm power. It always finishes to the left for right-handed players and the right for left-handed players.

Pros

  • Suitable for any player level
  • Long-range
  • Made from high-quality materials

Cons

  • A bit overstable than stable
  • The rim feels deep and crooked

The Latitude 64 Retro Burst Fuse is the most versatile midrange disc that the company has ever developed. It has a stable flight path up to 300 ft. The disc will also hold lengthy anhyzer lines with minimal fade at the end. On the other hand, the plastic used is not very durable.

Retro Burst Fuse can withstand power from veteran players while cutting precise lines for every type of player. One drawback is that it can be uneven at times. It can be delicate on the release angle if your form is incorrect.

Pros

  • Great with veteran and new players

Cons

  • Very understable
  • Touchy on the release angle if your form is off
  • Subpar materials used

The Tursas is an understable midrange disc released in March 2013 by Westside. Like any other midrange disc of the company, it is great for turnover throws and highly suitable for beginners. The Tursas come in premium Opto Line and Tournament plastics.

With its versatility, the Tursas is an excellent addition to any disc golf bag! The shallower grip is great for any skill level or age, and it provides a nice feel.

On the other hand, the Tursas flips like crazy in any form of headwind. But for a calm or tailwind, you can get it to travel virtually like a straight fairway driver. Also, this disc is unlikely to be your main midrange disc unless you play in wooded courses requiring sophisticated shots.

Pros

  • High turnover throws
  • Best with beginners
  • High-quality materials

Cons

  • Too understable
  • Not good with a headwind

The Paradox is a stable disc that really tries to turn. Some say it’s probably the most understable midranges on the market. Most players who use it noted its ability to fly on unusual lines. Axiom used premium materials for a luxurious look and feel. It has the same remarkable durability as Proton but has more bright opaque colors.

This is a great disc for advanced players for utility shots like flip-ups, rollers, and massive anhyzers. It is an excellent first disc for beginners, as it flies straight hyzer-flips or a teaching disc. With this disc, you can flip to flat and still have enough turn-on power to reach a good distance.

It’s largely tailored to slower-armed players and won’t be much use to people who throw hard. However, it is a rather understable midrange that will suit both novices and slower-armed players.

Pros

  • High-quality materials
  • Great for utility shots

Cons

  • Not suitable for hard throwers
  • More on the understandable side

As one of Discraft’s understable midrange discs, the Meteor is ideal for controlled turnover throws. If you’re right-handed, throw backhand, and require a disc that will fly to the right, it’s the disc for you. The Meteor turns and glides, giving beginners more control and range. It is available in high ESP and Z plastics.

The Discraft Meteor is one of the best golf disc plastics available, with excellent durability. It’s available in weights ranging from 167 to 178 grams. Lightweight discs will roll over faster. However, the disc has no bead, and the ESP is quite smooth. As a result, most players find themselves shifting it on their hands before throwing to get a confident grip.

Pros

  • Best for right-handed players
  • Highly durable

Cons

  • More fade
  • No bead, less grip

The Matrix is a moderately overstable GYRO™ midrange created in response to overwhelming demand from MVP disc fans. It’s a quick and smooth large-diameter disc with responsive overstable flight and a wide power range. Additionally, it was the MVP Circuit’s mid-range disc for 2016.

It is built to withstand turnover at all power levels and conditions. MVP’s Matrix should have a straight throw followed by a consistent fade for most throwers. While this isn’t a “meathook” style overstable midrange, its utility should not be overlooked.

With this midrange style, release angles make all the difference. It delivers good flights on releases ranging from anhyzer to flat and hyzer. The Matrix is a precision steady midrange with long straight flights that fade. It is built to withstand turnover at all power levels in all scenarios, and its stability is like a longer Axiom Envy.

MVP’s most premium material for an amazing look and feel is NEUTRON PLASTIC. Proton’s outstanding durability is combined with a wider range of vivid, opaque hues.

Pros

  • Straight fade
  • Comfortable grip

Cons

  • Don’t travel too far
  • Turns over easily

Review

Strong winds will make even the most seasoned player appear inexperienced. But Dynamic Discs thought of an ingenious idea of creating Justice. You’ll never need to seek anything else for a short-distance, over-stable response again. The Justice can have a decent shot into a headwind only to have your disc flip over.

While it has a decent-sized rim for a midrange, which leads to a nice amount of speed, it lacks glide. The lack of glide is a plus because you want to control this disc. It’s not going to travel down the fairway. It simply cannot with its stability at both high and low speeds.

Pros

  • Great for strong winds
  • Highly controllable

Cons

  • Less glide

Conclusion

Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to disc golf, having the best midrange disc cannot be overstated. Midrange shots are required to throw shots closer to the hoop. And, because there are so many good midrange discs out there, this list will make it much easier for you.

Whatever midrange you choose, ensure it provides you with control, accuracy, and correct distance. Overall, you must practice daily and improve your midrange throw. It will allow you to figure out what works best for you and enjoy the game more.

What does overstable mean?

So, what does overstable actually mean? When we use the term overstable we’re referring to turn rating of the disc or the tendency of the disc to move left or right when it leaves a player’s hand.

For an overstable disc, if you are a right-handed player throwing backhand, the disc will tend to fly to the left after it leaves your hand. For lefties, it’s the opposite. The disc will tend to move to the right.

What can I use these discs for?

First off, overstable putters are ideal for driving. If you are facing a short drive and you need the disc to fade just a touch at the end, these discs work great for that.

If you aren’t driving with putters, you really should be. They aren’t just for putting and approaching. And you can trust them not to skip too far when they land.

Aside from driving, overstable putters hold up well against the wind. So if you are approaching the basket on a windy day, reach for one of these discs. You can trust them to hold their flight and fly consistently when the wind picks up.

They also work great for short sidearm throws. If I’m throwing a short forehand shot at the basket, I usually reach for an overstable putter.

Final Thoughts

If you don’t have an overstable putter in your bag, you are really missing out. While they work fine for your go-to putter, they really shine when being thrown.

I like them for short drives and when approaching the basket. Overstable putters are so reliable and would do well in any disc golfers bag.

Grab one today and try it out on the course. As soon as you throw one of these discs you’ll fall in love when them. They are sure to find a permanent home in your bag.

Best Fairway Drivers

A good fairway driver is a must have for any disc golfers. It seems like these slower drivers are overshadowed constantly by their long-distance counterparts. Which really is a shame. What’s A Fairway Drive & What Can I Do With It?

Fairway Drivers discs fall in between midranges and distance drivers. They are usually characterized by their high-speed rating which for fairway driver discs are between 6 and 10.

For more information on high speed rating and the flight rating system check out our great article here.

These discs are designed for distances outside the reach of a midrange but are more controllable than a distance driver. They work great for a lot of different shots.

You can use them for short to medium distance drives. They shine with their high accuracy and reliability and work great for tunnel shots, hitting gaps and playing in the woods.

For beginners, fairway drivers are a great introduction to high-speed discs. Once newer players have gotten the hand of throwing midrange discs, it might be time to move up to a fairway driver.

For great options for beginner friendly fairway drivers check out this article.

What Makes A Fairway Driver Great?

The two main characteristics I look for in a fairway driver are reliability and versatility. If I select a disc as my go-to fairway driver, I want to be able to trust it’s flight and also use it for varying situations.

I want to be able to release it flat and know it’s going to fly straight. The disc needs to be able to hold a hyzer or anhyzer line and fly true in the wind. All the discs I’ve outlined on the list match these criteria.

If you pick one of the fairway driver discs I’ve shown here, you’ll be able to both rely on it and use it for a lot of situations you find yourself on the course.

Final Thoughts

Deciding on your main fairway driver disc can be tough. Especially with all the great discs that are on the market today.

I hope this article has made your decision a lot easier. If you select any discs on this list, I promise you won’t be disappointed. All these discs are excellent choices to fill that go-to fairway driver slot in your bag.

Grab one now and take your game to the next level.

Best Permanent Disc Golf Baskets

No ratings yet.

So if you are in the market for a disc golf basket but don’t want to bother with lugging a portable one around your yard, grab one of these great permanent options.

You can see a full list of all course baskets for sale at Infinite Discs here.

Best Permanent Disc Golf Baskets

Here are my picks for the best permanent disc golf baskets:

  • Prodigy T2 Permanent Course Basket
  • Latitude 64 Golf Discs ProBasket
  • Dynamic Discs Patriot Basket
  • Innova Discatcher Permanent Basket

Let’s check out my picks in more detail:

Prodigy T2 Disc Golf Basket

Best Permanent Disc Golf Baskets

The T2 is hands down the best value in disc golf for a fully durable permanent course basket.

This is a big, heavy basket that features both permanent and portable base options. Not only is this basket built to last, but it is arguably the best catching target in disc golf.

The Prodigy T2 features 16 outer chains and 8 inner hot dipped galvanized chains that are wound together with cross chains. This creates a “strike zone” where it’s almost impossible for good putts to blow through.

The T2 is rated by the PDGA for Championship level play, which means that this basket can even be used for the highest level professional tournaments. This target weights 58 pounds and features a weather resistant, powder coated finish.

The combination of low price and exceptional quality make this my number one recommendation for course and course quality portable baskets. It is also available in 4 attractive color configurations. In the portable format, the T2 base includes dual wheels making it easy to haul around.

The Prodigy T2 is an excellent choice whether you’re looking to install a complete disc golf course, a single permanent basket in you yard, or are just looking for a course quality portable basket.

Check it out at InfiniteDiscs.com

Latitude 64 Golf Discs ProBasket

Best Permanent Disc Golf Baskets

If you are looking for a permanent basket for your yard, then this one made by Latitude 64 is a great option. This offers the catching superiority of a permanent basket but at a price just slightly more than a portable disc golf basket.

The ProBasket has 26 galvanized chains, 13 inner and 13 outer, with yellow finish around the top and basket. The basket looks great and will keep looking great for a long time.

Now the ProBasket isn’t as heavy or as durable as many of the other course baskets available. It also has not been around for as long and hasn’t stood the test of time like the original Innova and DGA baskets. If you putt hard with lots of spin, you might also be unsatisfied with how well it catches.

It’s approved by the PDGA for Championship level play so it’s great if you want to make your own course but still a great option for your yard. It comes with a ground sleeve, locking collar and padlock. This basket weighs 57lbs.

Check it out on Amazon.

Dynamic Discs Patriot Basket

https://youtu.be/2hvjKqYH0gk

If your main goal is low price, then the DD Patriot Basket is the way to go. Let’s be real, many small municipalities have strict budgets and when it comes to investing in a disc golf course, the lowest price is going to be the accounting departments approval decision.

For any lover of Dynamic Discs, the Patriot basket is the perfect choice for a permanent basket. It’s a 26 chain basket. This basket has 13 inner and 13 outer galvanized chains and is made with superior quality. The Patriot is very similar to the Lat 64 Pro Basket, and is likely manufactured using the same specs and at the same facility.

The top and bottom of the basket are painted white with the Patriot wording on the top. The top of the basket is 2 inches tall and includes a deflector band. You won’t have a problem with seeing this basket from far away.

Again, it includes a ground sleeve, locking collar and padlock. It’s approved by the PDGA for high-level play so you know it’s a great option if cost and budget is your primary buying factor, then go with the Patriot .

Check it out on Amazon.

Check it out on Infinite Discs.

Innova Discatcher Permanent Basket

One of the best options for a permanent basket is the discatcher. Innova boasts that their product is installed on more disc golf courses in the world than any other brand. If this doesn’t say something about the quality of this basket, I don’t know what will.

The DisCatcher has heavy chains and is the preferred choice for spin putters who putt hard. This basket creates very few chain outs, but occasionally a high straight putt that hits the pole will bounce back out.

It’s made with galvanized steel so you know it will last and has 24 chains along the basket. The yellow color really pops and won’t fade after many years because of the protective coat that comes on the basket.

It weighs 80lbs and is approved for PDGA play. It has a lockable sleeve that allows for moving the basket to another hole placement that includes a locking tab. A great option for your home or if you are planning to create your own course.

Check it out on Amazon.

Why Choose A Permanent Basket Over A Portable Version?

Most disc golf basket options on the market today are portable. They don’t require any tricky installation process and can be moved around.

Moving the basket can allow for different practice shots and you don’t have to worry able mowing around them. Plus, the portable disc golf baskets seem to be cheaper.

With all that said, why would you pick a permanent basket?

I think permanent baskets are great for two reasons. One is the quality of the product. While permanent baskets are more expensive than their portable counterparts, they are also higher quality and made to last.

While you could buy multiple portable baskets for the price of a permanent one, you’ll need those baskets over a lifetime because they won’t last as long.

Permanent baskets are designed, well to be permanent meaning they will last a long time on the course and in your yard.

Another reason to pick one is simplicity. With a permanet basket, you can simply walk out your door and into your yard and begin throwing discs at the basket.

There is no need to lug a portable basket out of your garage and move it around your yard. Permant baskets give you more time and energy to focus on practice and improving your disc golf game.

Installing A Permanent Disc Golf Basket

Installing a basket in your yard might sound like an impossible task but really it’s not.

Each model listed here will come with their own set of instructions. I’ll link the one for the discatcher here that is available on the Innova website.

In the simplest terms, you will need to dig a hole that’s large and deep enough to accept the basket pole and supporting concrete. Then insert the pole and pour concrete around it.

Here’s a video I found that shows the entire process:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awc-GqhHP0k

Final Thoughts

Deciding on a permanent disc golf basket for your yard can be a tough decision. Heck, deciding on going with a permanet option can be equally hard.

But, I hope this article has given you all the information you need and has made your choice a lot easier. Just think, once the basket is bought and installed, it will be so easy to practice your putting every day.

A putting practice round will be as simple as carrying a couple putters out the door and walking to your freshly installed basket.

The Best Disc Golf Carts 2023

Playing disc golf means having different equipment and accessories. It’s most true when you’re playing professionally or leisurely in the course. It’s similar to golf, where courses could have 9 or 18 holes (or for disc golf, baskets). The sport is usually played in terrains with trees, hills, ponds, rocks, or out-of-bounds restrictions. And just like golf, it takes time to go from one basket to another. Imagine carrying golf discs, a water tumbler, a foldable chair, extra shirts, and other paraphernalia from one course to another. You’ll be exhausted, and you can’t play right. That’s where disc golf carts come in. Unlike the disc golf bag, the cart adds a new level of convenience and comfort. It lessens the effect of carrying the bag’s weight, reducing backaches and other problems on the body. As a result, Disc Golf Action has compiled a list of the best disc golf carts 2023. Read on!

Below is a table summarizing the best disc golf carts in this guide.

Review:

The MVP Rover Cart + Nucleus Bag is a lightweight and highly expandable cart. It’s MVP’s first cart designed to take the weight off your shoulders and serve as your caddy.

Though it has two wheels, they are “sitting feet” which evenly distribute weight and have a lower center of gravity. It makes the cart extremely stable, allowing for extra smooth rides. Furthermore, because it is made of aluminum tubing, the frame structure is lightweight while remaining sturdy and weather-resistant.

You can extend the cart’s handle up to 51 inches in length, which can also be easily detached. At the same time, without the handle, the cart collapses to 1 ft. for easy and no-hassle transportation and storage. The cart has two large drink holders as well as an attachment strap to keep your gear secure.

Pros:

  • The handle is simple to remove
  • Solid construction
  • 51-inch expandable handle

Cons:

  • No specified capacity

Review:

The Zuca Compact is an excellent choice for any player looking for compact storage that adds convenience and comfort.

One of its standout features is its ability to support up to 300 lbs. It can hold up to 15 discs which should be sufficient for players of any skill level. Zuca Compact’s strong and patented frame can support a large weight while also providing seating. Yes, that’s correct; you can use and convert this cart into a seat if necessary.

There’s also an adjustable inner top shelf and two massive stretchable pockets. The adjustable feature should give you plenty of room for whatever else you want to bring into the game. Finally, two large-size water bottle holders and a mini pouch provide additional storage space.

Pros:

  • Small in size but with a large storage space
  • Can carry up to 15 discs
  • Has sturdy seating
  • Offers bottle holders and mini pouch

Cons:

  • Not suitable in uneven terrain
  • Slightly small

Review:

If you want the OG disc golf cart, this is the one for you. Each new model improves on the previous one, and it is now more sturdy and durable than ever. The current model has detachable foam wheels and an adjustable handle. Also, the cart has one of the most storage spaces and the most comfortable seats on the list.

Factors When Choosing A Disc Golf Cart

Before picking any disc golf cart, you should consider specific facts and features other than the specifications stated. Obviously, you will select one within your budget, but you must also consider the following features in your buying selection.

Materials Used

There are different materials used in constructing disc golf carts. Maybe you don’t want to acquire all those metal-made carts because they’re going to be hefty. To be honest, grabbing plastic-made carts will do you no help either.

Yes, they will be light and inexpensive, but won’t they fade and crack in no time? After all, they’re not designed to withstand the harsh outdoor environment in which you play.

We recommend using aluminum, powder-coated steel, treated synthetic materials, or stainless steel. They will not only be ideal for extended runs, but they will also be able to support heavier loads.

Size & Carrying Capacity

Disc golf players like to carry as many discs as possible, even if they don’t intend to throw them all. One advantage of having a cart is bringing more discs with you when you’re out on the course. You should search for a cart that can hold between 12 and 21 discs at once.

Most disc golf carts are built with specific storage capabilities. Each has a weight limit that indicates how much it can carry. Manufacturers include these specs, and you may look at the cart’s dimensions, such as its width, depth, and height.

Portability

You want a cart that’s lightweight and easy to carry. Manufacturers recognized the demand and designed most carts to be light and portable. You also need to consider storing the cart when not in use.

Portability also entails foldability. A push-button folding is highly sought-after for its smoothness and speed. On the other hand, manual-folding mechanisms take time and can be difficult to fold or unfold.

Assembly

What is the significance of getting a cart that’s very hard to assemble? Make sure that the cart you’re picking comes with clear instructions. But if the one you’re looking at doesn’t have any, make sure it’s easy to put together.

Number Of Wheels

Clearly, the product in question is a cart, so it’ll have wheels. But the question is, how many wheels does your cart require? There are two, three, and four-wheeled carts, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, you must determine whether it provides you with fluid mobility or not.

Another thing you need to consider is the weather in the area where you play. Some courses are flatter than others, and you may get away with only two wheels on these types of courses. If you live in humid areas or play on steep, hilly courses, you should seek a cart with three wheels.

Add-ons

Add-ons mean more storage space. For example, pre-installed holders such as umbrella holders and smartphone holders will make the cart easier to use.

Some have a built-in seat that allows you to sit and rest on your cart without needing a bench. But take note that some carts require you to purchase one separately.

Other add-ons are brakes. To avoid slipping, you should have a strong one. It might be handy in avoiding potential hazards or accidents on steep courses.

Travel Through The Course With Best Disc Golf Carts

The most important aspect of disc golf is the player’s comfortability and convenience on the field. After all, how players feel during the game will eventually reflect its outcome. As a result, they should have the best disc golf cart to transport their equipment.

We hope this selection of the best disc golf carts has helped you determine which disc golf cart is best for you. The following evaluations can help you limit your choices and have an easy walk to every course!

Besides Being Waterproof, What Other Features Should I Look For In A Disc Golf Shoe?

We all know that being waterproof is very important when it comes to playing disc golf. Especially, if you want to be able to tackle a course at any time.

No waiting for a few days to have the greens dry out. But what other factors are important when it comes to buying the perfect shoe for the game you love. Let’s take a look.

Durability

If you play a lot of disc golf and don’t want to have to replace your shoes often, you’ll want to go with a durable shoe. Is the shoe made of quality material like leather or rubber?

With a higher quality shoe, you’ll be able to face any change the course will throw at you and keep doing it over and over. The drawback to this factor is the more durable the shoe, the higher the cost.

Comfort

Remember, you are going to be spending a lot of time in these shoes so comfort is highly important. Think of how many rounds you play a week and then think of how long a round of disc golf lasts.

With all the time you will spend in them, you want them to be comfortable. Do they have cushioned insoles? Will you have to break them in before they feel just right on your foot.

These are important things to consider before you pull the trigger on a pair of disc golf shoes.

Grip

I’ve mentioned grip and traction throughout this article several times, so you know I think it’s important. Trusting your footing is very important in disc golf.

Having a solid foundation while you throw your shots can make all the difference. If you slip on the tee pad, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll shank your drive. No one wants that.

Depending on the course you play at, you may have to hike through some uneven terrain. Even if you play on a well-maintained course, you’ll still have to spend some time trekking through the woods looking for lost discs. Do yourself a favor and get a shoe with great grip.

Weight

You might not think of weight during your normal shoe buying process but for disc golf, it’s an important factor to consider. Shoes that are heavier are generally going to be more durable and last longer.

They will be able to stand up to the elements you might see on the course. Heavy isn’t also best. With a lighter shoe, you will be more mobile and able to power through your drive easily.

You’ll also have less weight to carry as you walk for miles during a round or two of disc golf. You’ll need to decide what works best for you and your needs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19NEFJ1gd10

What Kind Of Shoes Are Best For Disc Golf?

Aside from being waterproof, what does make a shoe great for disc golf? While most shoes aren’t designed specifically for the needs of disc golfers, most players agree that there are two ideal types of shoes for disc golf.

One is a shoe desgined for trails. Like a hiking shoe or trail running shoe. If you play on a rough course that’s not well maintained and you find yourself walking through dirt and woods a lot while playing disc golf, this is the ideal shoe for you.

The second type of shoe is a shoe desgined for golf. We’re specifically talking about golf shoes without spikes. These shoes are great because the golf swing is very similar to a disc golf throw and these shoes are desgined to support it.

They work well for disc golfers that play on well-maintained courses with a lot of sidewalks and concrete tee pads. So if you play in a park that has short grass, this type of shoe would be great for you.

Final Thoughts

Shoes are important. Especially, when it comes to playing disc golf. They are the foundation of every disc golfers throw.

While you want a shoe that is waterproof, there are several other factors you will need to consider before buying the right shoe for you. I hope this article has helped you make your buying decision a lot easier.

Alright, go ahead and grab one of these Best Waterproof Disc Golf Shoes for you and hit the course soon. Remember, the right shoe will make all the difference as you play the game you love.

Why Do You Need A Disc Golf Towel?

If you really aren’t convinced why you need a good disc golf towel for your bag, let’s take a look at why they are so great and what the benefits are of getting one.

After reading this, you’ll be sure to put one or maybe two in your disc golf bag.

Cleaning Your Discs

Disc golf is played in the great outdoors. This is great. We all need more excuses to get outside and get some fresh air.

A drawback to this is you and your gear can get dirty. Your discs are constantly landing on the ground. They are exposed to dirt, leaves, grass and other debris through the normal round of disc golf.

If you want to play your best, you’ll need a towel to clean them off.

Drying Your Discs

Not only do you need a towel to clean your discs, but you’ll also need them for drying purposes. Disc golf can get wet.

We’ve all played a few rounds in the rain and if you haven’t, you’ve at least play after a fresh rain on a wet course. You’ll need a towel to dry off your discs.

Even if you stay way from disc golf when there is rain evolved, there are always sweaty hands and water hazards to get your discs all wet.

Improve Your Grip

How you grip your disc is the start of how you are going to release it. If you don’t have a nice firm grip on the disc this can create a lot of problems, like releasing the disc too early or late.

Another thing having a good grip will ensure is your release point. Your grip is crucial for this.

Keeping your disc and hands dry and clean with a quality towel will go a long way to improve your grip on the disc.

Great Practice Drill

You may not know this but you don’t need a disc and a basket to practice disc golf. You can get in a good practice session with just a towel.

That’s right, all you need is a towel to start improving your disc golf game. Once you’ve got a towel, you need to hold it in front of you like you would when you are throwing a disc.

Bring the towel back, like you would reach back during a drive, and pull it forward and follow through.

If you hear the snap of the towel, you know you are in good shape. This helps you practice accelerating the disc through your shot.

Final Thoughts

Having a towel can seriously help your disc golf game. This may sound crazy but it’s really true.

While playing a normal round of disc golf you are going to run into water, dirt and other things that you will need to whip from your hands and discs.

You’ll need a towel clean and dry your hands. This will ensure that you can grip your disc well and throw properly.

Trust me, adding one of these best disc golf towels in your disc golf bag or keeping one in your pocket will go along way to make sure you are playing your best.
