REVIEW

As a distance driver for the more skilled disc golf player, MVP Discs’ Motion will give you the distance and control your forehand throws need in order to be effective.

It has just the right amount of lightness and overstability to give you what you need: it’s light enough to make it follow the line while taking a wide pan, but at the same time, it’s overstable enough to come back from them even without that much of an altitude.

Aside from being commonly known for its magnificent flicks, this distance driver from MP Discs is also excellent for those tricky backhand anny flex shots that twist through trees. The finesse of the flick shots you can do with the Motion is surprisingly striking, especially with forehand throws.

You could certainly use it for thumbers and flex forehand shots to get out of troubling situations—a medium-strength arm can have the Motion reach around 250 feet, while an advanced-level player can possibly make it reach around 400 feet.

It might be due to the MVP Motion’s overstability, but one thing you might also be surprised to know about is that it can withstand quite the amount of stress you put it to. In fact, you can crank your power throws, and it will hit on hard obstacles as you want it to.

As a good distance driver as it is, however, the MVP Motion is not a disc that any backhanded newbie could just use. You really need to have a sound forehand throw and form to really make good use out of MVP Discs’ Motion.

PROS

  • Is light enough to control even with its overstability
  • Is an excellent disc for flick shots
  • Can get you out of troubling situations
  • Can handle quite the amount of stress

CONS

  • Is not suitable for beginners
  • Is not as usable for backhand throws as it is for forehand shots

REVIEW

As a glidey, lighting-fast distance driver that flies true to its numbers, the MVP Disc’s Dimension is an excellent disc that has a rather unique combination of overstability, glide, and speed.

Even without flexing out, you could gain an estimated distance of 400 feet—over 450 feet if you really crank up the power. You could even get some nice S-curves if you really force it over anny.

As a great headwind fighter, it can give you a bit of a high-speed turn that hooks reliably when thrown real hard. It would even do a big skip to the left as it ends its flight.

This beefy, overstable distance driver from MVP will show you its rated-14 speed when you really force-flex it into a tailwind, as well as give you a controllable bomber.

While it is unsuitable for weak-armed players, you can find yourself relying on the Dimension disc golf disc if you’re looking to go around an obstacle while still wanting to cover a good distance.

PROS

  • Has a unique combination of speed, glide, and overstability
  • Can handle stress well
  • Can cover a really good distance
  • Has a reliable and significantly controllable flight pattern

CONS

  • Is not suitable for beginners and/or weak-armed players
  • May be too overstable even on headwinds

REVIEW

The Relativity disc golf disc is another MVP Disc product that remains true to its number ratings: it’s fast, glidey, and flippy. The rim is fairly wide and domey that you would instantly know it’s a long flier at just a glance.

It does seem touchy, though, such that it flips when thrown too hard and it stalls out listlessly when thrown too softly. Finding the perfect hyzer for its release can be quite the chore, which might then result in a few bad shots for you.

Also, when the Relativity flips, it stays flipped such that not even some late fade could bring it back.

However, it does stand to become one of the elite bombers in the market, especially when you throw it high. This driver needs quite the height to make it work through its glidey, high-speed turn and its subtle end-fade.

When you throw it too low, the driver would immediately turn over and fall straight to the ground.

It does not really pose to be a consistent disc, but it’s an excellent distance driver on calmer winds that can cover more than 450 feet for you if you apply it to the task.

While it’s also not for beginners given how much of a chore finding the sweet spot of this disc is, it could become quite the roller once you get used to its sensitivity.

PROS

  • Holds true to its numbers
  • Is one of the elite bombers in the market
  • Can give you the long distance you need
  • Can become quite the roller

CONS

  • Is not a disc for accuracy
  • Can be too touchy and sensitive to control
  • Can be quite the chore to use

REVIEW

As a disc that gives you the confidence you need, MVP Discs’ Volt is a comfortable fairway driver that you can certainly use for both backhand and forehand throws.

Straight out of the bag, you have yourself a straight flier with a bit of a consistent fade at the end. When broken in, it could take quite the amount of torque without flipping too much on its flight.

As an excellent fairway driver, it was built for utility shots accompanied by comfort and control. The Volt really shines through during straight shots, tunnel shots, and occasional anhyzer shots.

You can swing this driver wide to the right and still trust it to go back to the center, or you could rely on it to get the perfect spike hyzers. It goes as straight as an arrow, off the tee, that has a slightly late turn and a moderate fade that goes around anything in its way.

Take note of the type of plastic you buy it with, though, because its stability may vary depending on the disc. The rating would have it remain as a stable MVP disc golf disc, but it can somehow be more of an overstable when you compare it with its other plastic variants.

PROS

  • Can give you the confidence you need for your throws
  • Is predictable either out of the box or broken in
  • Is a good disc for both backhand and forehand throws

CONS

  • Stability and feel may depend greatly on the plastic variant you select

REVIEW

A workhorse fairway driver, MVP Discs’ Servo is the expert indeed in flying like a beat. When you throw this disc hard, it will have a slow smooth turn before it gently fades back to the center of the fairway.

This disc also has a long, straight flight with a reliable, forward-pushing fade. With a fine, flat top and a low profile, you can get comfortable using this disc with backhand and forehand throws.

The MVP Servo fairway disc driver is the best option for holding out most angles when you throw it with power. With its consistent fade, you will not have to worry when you’re throwing it in a hyzer flip for holding out, in straight, or in an anhyzer shot while getting a good distance.

This disc is easy to control and manipulate, especially if you wish to get the results you are aiming for. Servo is the disc you will be needing for a controllable flight and for its ability to shape lines at a really long distance.

PROS

  • Glides pretty well
  • Has a grippy feeling with the plastic
  • Has a consistent fade

CONS

  • Dumps too quickly
  • Will flip up a little bit with hyzer line

REVIEW

Staying true to its flight numbers, MVP Discs’ Atom can fly dead straight with a reliabel fade at the end. This disc can reach around 300 to 400 feet when you throw it flat. At the same time, it can hold any line you want to put it on.

With MVP Atom disc golf disc, you can expect it to reach a long distance when you throw it hard and still have a small amount of high speed turn. But, it will never flip over on you because you can trust its torque resistance and approaches off the tee.

Atom disc golf disc is the definition of having the right amount of grip and flex. This putter disc is perfect for short, accurate drives and precision upshots.

In addition, this disc can give you the confidence to put a distance when you hold all shot shapes within reason. Conclusively, Atom is the perfect medium for all types of putts and can increase your confidence in delivering good numbers with a consistent feel.

PROS

  • Is great for backhand putter shots
  • Is very beginner-friendly

CONS

  • Does not suit well with forehand players

REVIEW

As a perfect putt and approach disc golf disc, MVP Discs’ Ion can complement your main putter when it comes to approaches, potential throw-ins, and longer putts.

Perfect for new players, this disc can fly dead straight, although it can also be used by advanced players to experiment with putter distances.

For an experienced player, this disc responds well to a hyzer flip when you throw bombs, thereby giving you a maximum distance while not risking your accuracy. When you throw it flat using good power, it will go straight, while this disc will hold the anhyzer line when you throw it in any anhyzer angle and pinched-off shots.

One thing you should know is that the MVP Ion has a scooped interior and a bead, where you can rest your index finger. Throwing it using a slight hyzer shot will make this disc flat with tons of glide. Don’t worry, though, since it will remember to fade gently as it slows down.

PROS

  • Is perfect for lower arm speeds
  • Is beginner-friendly
  • Has overstable long shot

CONS

  • Can easily be chipped
  • Can be fragile when hitting asphalt and rocks
  • Might not be a good choice for sidearm-dominant players

REVIEW

With just a little flick, MVP Discs’ Particle will go flying around 200 to 250 feet of range with a great glide. As a great overstable putter and one of the best throwing putters, this disc can offer great accuracy when off the tee or with an upshot.

You can expect the Particle disc golf disc to have a dead-straight flight and a mild fade at the end of the flight. With its fairly flat tops, you can expect it to feel more shallow than even a low-profile putter does.

This disc holds up to power and is a little more overstable that it would be a good putt and approach disc against strong winds. It is great for driving, too, because it does not flip over, considering its great torque resistance.

Overall, the MVP Particle putter disc gives pretty consistent putts and drives. It is strong and overstable enough also that you can wholly expect it come back when you turn it over.

PROS

  • Will go where you point it
  • Is great for high-speed putting

CONS

  • Will turn if there is any wear
  • Requires a bit of a spin to get it to fly properly
