Innova Daedalus

Red Translucent Daedalus No ratings yet.

This one of the few speed 13 distance drivers recommended for new golfers.

Discraft says this about the Daedalus: “A distance driver for humans who want to soar with gods. The Daedalus has wings to fly far down the fairway. The Daedalus is a new maximum downwind distance driver crafted for less powerful players. The disc will double as a long distance roller for more experienced players. The Daedalus likes to be thrown low. Make sure it doesn’t soar too close to the sun.”

Prodigy D4

Yellow D4 No ratings yet.

The D4 is a slightly understable distance driver in the Prodigy line. This disc is an amazingly far distance driver designed for intermediate players and holds up against disc golfers with moderate arm speed. Even beginners and amateurs will have times were they can get this disc to sail. The glide this disc offers is excellent and it has a very limited end of flight fade. The D4 has a soft beveled rim that allows for a smoother, and more comfortable release. Some credit the longer flight to the more efficient inner rim. This disc has very similar dimensions to other drivers in the Prodigy line and also possesses the same rim width (2.3 cm) as the other drivers. By learning the similar feelings that other discs have that make them react differently, disc golfers should be able to learn how to throw more consistently and it will provide them with the ability to choose the perfect driver for whatever shots they face.

Innova Katana

Lime Green Katana No ratings yet.

The Katana is an amazing high speed distance driver with some major turn and fade. The Katana will slice through the air like a katana. This speed 13 driver comes equipped with an incredible high speed turn (3) which is followed by a major low speed fade (3). Innova says this disc has “flight characteristics of the Sidewinder on steroids.”  The Katana is certainly more than capable of handling anhyzer shots and sailing to the maximum distance. This is also a lot safer than an actual Katana sword.

Innova Groove

Blue Translucent Groove No ratings yet.

The Groove is a stable flying, ultra high speed driver that provides maximum distance. The unique thing about the Groove, and the reason for its name, is the groove around the underside of the rim. While this high speed driver has a thick rim (2.4cm), the void of plastic around the wide rim means that this disc can be molded in lower weights.

Even though it is rated a Speed 13 driver, the Groove is still suitable for less experienced players. When thrown right, the Groove will glide farther than almost any other disc currently on the market. Innova gives the Groove a glide rating at 6. This is a good disc for both backhand and forehand shots.

Discraft Nuke SS

Glo Nuke SS No ratings yet.

The Nuke SS is the “super stable” version of the popular Nuke driver. Though this is a maximum distance driver built for speed with a 2.5cm rim, it can be thrown by less experienced players. The Nuke SS comes equipped with an impressive high speed turn radius with an equally impressive degree of low speed fade. The flight path of the Nuke SS is fairly similar to the Innova Katana. If you’re looking for a disc with a thick wing length, then you’ll love the distance you can coax out of this disc!

The Nuke SS can be purchased in the highly durable Z-line, or premium Titanium plastics. If you want to add some style, you can get this disc in dyed plastic as well. For night play, this disc is available in Z glow.

Legacy Cannon

Purple Cannon No ratings yet.

The Cannon by Legacy is meant for experienced players who have solid control of their disc. The numbers show this disc has the potential to be the farthest flying disc on the market but must be fired like a cannon with precision, not as a loose cannon. When given power the disc will exhibit a great degree of high speed turn followed by a big fade. The question is will this disc provide you with more distance? That’s up to you to find out.
